Colbert decrees it!
I know I'm a little late with this, since the episode aired last Thursday evening, but I just have to celebrate. Stephen Colbert firmly defends the Oxford comma! And you know he really means it, because he ignored his [character's] own disdain for books to provide the citation! (From "page f*cking 2" of Strunk & White, ha!)

I'd embed the link to the video clip, but LJ doesn't like the profoundly ugly link ColbertNation.com provides, so if you want to check it out, it's here.

I feel vindicated! And validated! And maybe another v word! I've been extolling the virtues here at work since first reading your post, and Matt agrees with us wholeheartedly. :)

I was quite amused by how he took Vampire Weekend to task. And Ezra Koenig's answer was amusing, too.

I KNOW RIGHT. I was so thrilled to watch that, you have no idea.

Only now do I realize I should have typed:

I feel vindicated, validated, and another v word.

That's how wrecked I am from work.
