Nathan Fillion is coming back to TV and nobody told me?!

The premise of the new show looks pretty sketchy. Someone hauled out their old blender and tossed in a bunch of different ingredients. So far I see bits of Cannonball Run (but it looks like they strained out the Burt Reynolds first), The Amazing Race ... those bits there might be 24 ... or maybe Firewall ... oh dear. Is that some Tim Minear I see there? Did you check the date on that before you tossed it in? Because, yeah, if it's still good we might have a new Firefly on our hands, but if it's turned we'll end up with Wonderfalls. Nobody wants that. We'd have to chuck the whole batch.

Let me see if I can tell anything with a quick sniff. Hmmm ... Fillion is credited in that Hollywood Reporter piece as a "charming, rogue landscaper". Oh dear. A "rogue landscaper". That's ... that's not a good sign. What, he drives those mean suburban streets, randomly lashing out with his clippers, inflicting topiary on the unsuspecting? He dares to cut the grass shorter than anyone else does? He tends the weeds and cuts the flowers? He shows up on any day other that the scheduled lawn maintenance day? What the ... what??

ETA: Incidentally, I wonder who will stoop to some permutation of "'Fillion' up the tank". Whoever that is, be warned: You have earned my pre-emptive wrath!

Film and TV actor, probably best known as Capt. Malcom Reynolds in the television series Firefly.
